I’m actually always on the lookout for a good horror comic, right now american vampire is really great and hits a lot of those notes for me, it starts in like the 20’s/30’s but the newest issues are taking place in like the 50’s and they’re super rockabilly which i really enjoy. American Vampire just started a spinoff storyline this month too called Lord of Nightmares as well thats pretty awesome and horror related. 

Locke and Key is a must read for horror fans. like….really….its kind of the best…super good stuff. My roommate actually has done some mini comics inside of some of the single issues for Locke and Key, they’re a really great creative team and its a pretty unique concept. 

Kurtis Wiebe writes this horror comic called Green Wake thats pretty great too, his new book was the Grim Leaper one i mentioned before, but Green Wake was named one of the best new horror series last year. 

I like a lot of classic horror stuff too/classic characters like Alan Moores swamp thing… Steve Niles just put out the first issue in a 3 part Frankenstein series a month or so ago that i really liked. 

Classic comic suggestions for horror though always lead me to Hellboy, Mike Mignola really is amazing, and if your into any sort of Lovecraftian stuff you’ll like Hellboy a lot. He does some other Horror related sories too like Baltimore and Plague Ships. 

Creepy magazine started up Creepy comics again last year too, i think issue 9 just came out, but they’re all about horror, they just released Eerie Comic #1 too. 

Darkhorse is a really good publishing company for horror i find, they’ve put out a lot of great books.
